Dal Recipe
Ingredients
Mustard - 1tsp
onion - 1 finely chopped
Tomatoes - 3 chopped
Green chillies - 4 or Jalapeno -2
Garlic - 4 cloves
Ginger - 1 small piece finely chopped
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Salt - As required
Oil - 1 tsp
Moong Dal - 200gms
Water - 600 ml (3 times of Dal) ©Soup2Sweet
Step by Step Procedure for Dal recipe
- Add 2 tsp of oil and mustard
- Mustard should splutter in oil.
- Add onion,garlic,chillies and ginger to the oil.Saute them well.
- Once onion turns brown color, add tomato and capsicum. Saute well.
- Once the ingredients are cooked remove it from flame.
- Cook moong dal in water. Stir them in regular intervals.
- Add turmeric powder,salt and asafoetida after the dal is well cooked.
- Add the sauted items to the cooked dal.
- Let it boil.
- Add corainder leaves when the gravy becomes thickened.
- Serve with chapathi.
